Fagerhult creates premium lighting solutions that enhance human well-being. With sustainability and connectivity at heart, we focus on office, education, healthcare, retail and outdoor applications. We work closely with customers and partners in the European market and provide lighting solutions globally – with tailor-made solutions for our customers.
Our story began more than 75 years ago, at Christmas in 1943. The founder Bertil Svensson - a young electrician - saw his mother struggling with her needlework in a dimly lit room. Bertil designed his own solution to her problem, a floor lamp. It was not only the help his mother needed, but also the first step towards establishing the Fagerhult luminaire business.
Originated in the dark Swedish forests, the importance of light has always been crucial for us – and we strive for creating a positive change for people and planet with our solutions and the way we do business. Our mission is to use our lighting knowledge and collaborative mindset to create a brighter future.
The Fagerhult brand includes both the product company Fagerhults Belysning AB (based in Fagerhult, Sweden) and 13 sales companies with focused locations across Europe. Based on knowledge of the positive impact of light on humans, we develop and produce innovative lighting solutions that are marketed and sold through Fagerhult's sales companies. In total, we are about 1,000 people, of whom about 38% are women and 62% are men.
Fagerhult is part of the Fagerhult Group, one of Europe's leading lighting companies with 12 different brands and 4100 employees in 28 countries around the world.
